The Arbuda Mountains (Abu Parvat ' Mount Abu) region is said to be original abode of the famous Gurjars.
The association of the Gurjars with the mountain is noticed in many inscriptions and epigraphs including Tilakamanjari of Dhanpala.
These Gurjars (Gujars or Gujjars) migrated from the Arbuda mountain region.
As early as sixth century CE, they set up one or more principalities in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Almost all or a larger part of Rajasthan and Gujarat had been known as Gurjaratra (country ruled or protected by the Gurjars) or Gurjarabhumi (land of the Gurjars) for centuries before the Mughal period.
Mount Abu town, the only Hill station in Rajasthan, is at an elevation of 1,220 m (4,003 ft).
It has been a popular retreat from the heat of Rajasthan and neighbouring Gujaratfor centuries. The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1960 and covers 290 km² of the mountain.

DAY 1:Chennai TO Udaipur – Mount Abu
- Arrive Udaipur meet & greet on arrival at Udaipur Airport & transfer to Mount Abu only hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan on arrival check-in at Hotel.
- Later visit Guru Shikar is the highest point in Mount Abu & perfect to get a panoramic view of the whole region and is famous for its temple of Guru Dattatreya an incarnation of the Hindu Deities ‘Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva’ in one, Achalgarh or the immovable - The fort however stands in ruins to this day & lastly visit Nakki Lake.
- Overnight stay at Mount Abu.
DAY 2: Mount Abu – Udaipur
- Enjoy the hearty morning breakfast at Hotel.
- After breakfast visit Dilwara Jain Temples built between the 11th and the 13th century & Ashram of Brahma Kumari & get transferred to Udaipur on arrival check-in at Hotel.
- Evening visit Bhartiya Lok kala Museum - a museum of folk and art, it displays a rich collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls.
- Overnight stay at Udaipur Hotel.
DAY 3: Excursion to Kumbhalgarh & Ranakpur
- Enjoy the hearty morning breakfast at Hotel.
- After breakfast start for full day excursion to Kumbhalgarh built on a hilltop 1100 metres in altitude, Kumbhalgarh fort has perimeter walls that extend 36 kilometres in length, claimed to be the longest in the world after the Great Wall of China.
- The frontal walls are fifteen feet thick. Kumbhalgarh has seven fortified gateways.
- Over 360 temples are within the fort, 300 ancient Jain and the rest Hindu.
- The vista from the palace top typically extends tens of kilometers into the Aravalli Range & Later visit Ranakpur Temple which houses a collection of Jain temples unmatched in their beauty. The temple at Ranakpur is dedicated to Adinatha, the first Jain Tirthankara (spiritual leader) who conquered the cycle of rebirth and achieved enlightenment.
- Evening return back to Udaipur.
- Overnight stay at Udaipur.
DAY 4: Udaipur
- Enjoy the hearty morning breakfast at Hotel.
- After breakfast start for Udaipur city tour.
- Visiting City Palace – The largest palace complex of Rajasthan, Jagdish Temple – built by Maharana Jagat Singh and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu & Gulab Bagh. Fateh Sagar, Maharana Pratap Memorial, take a photo stop at Nehru Garden, Sahelion-KI-Bari - Queen’s resort for their friends, Sukhadia Circle (Drive Pass).
- Overnight stay at Udaipur Hotel.
DAY 5: RETURN TO CHENNAI
- Enjoy the healthy morning breakfast at Hotel.
