Our ORANGE INDIA TOUR’S “BHUTAN” tour package give you a chance to embark on an exotic excursion you have never experienced before. Bhutan, a small country which will please you with its serenity and beauty.

Enjoy picturesque drives as you hop from one beautiful town to the other. Beautiful river streams, lush green valleys, exotic wildlife and precariously positioned monasteries paint the landscape of Bhutan. 


Thimpu is the capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan, the area around the dzong and government buildings are a particularly green and an attractive district. Punakha is located in the west of the country.

Punakha was the capital of Bhutan until the 1960's, and still retains the serene atmosphere of a place with a regal past. The dzong is the main attraction, but there are also other sites of interest in and around this pleasant little town.

Along with Paro and Jakar, Punakha completes the triangle of most popular tourist destinations.Paro is a town in the south-west of Bhutan. Paro is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered through the area.

In addition, the Paro Valley is wide and verdant and is recognized a one of the most beautiful in all Bhutan. Prefer to stay in Paro if you are someone who is fond of nature and would like to spend quiet and peaceful time.

Itinerary Details in tour

DAY 1:  Arrive at Bhutan

  • Departure from Paro Airport.
  • Arrival at Paro Airport.You will be met by our representative and you will be transferred to your hotel in thimphu. 
  • Thimphu, the capital town of Bhutan while en-route stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers.
  • Home to civil servants, expatriates and monk body, Thimphu maintains a strong national character in its architectural style.
  • Three different style of stupas such as Tibetan, Nepalese and Bhutanese adorn this confluence.Thimphu is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions.
  •  On arrival, in Thimphu check-into the hotel. Evening an exploratory walk around Thimphu main street and market area.
  • Later, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2:  BHUTAN( THIMPHU)

  • Enjoy the hearty morning breakfast at  Deluxe hotel.
  • Thimphu sightseeing covering Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong), Changangkha Lhakhang (Monastery), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre, Drupthob Goemba or Zilukha Nunnery, National Library, Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School except on Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday & During Summer & Winter Vacations), Textiles Museum(Handicrafts Shops - except on  Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery).
  • Later drive pass by memorial chorten built in memory of the 3rd King. Visit Buddha viewpoint, Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Enclosure where national animal, takin are kept and Zilukha Nunnery.
  • As the second day of your bhutan Tour Package comes to an end, retire to the hotel and have a sound sleep.
  • Overnight stay at Deluxe Hotel.

DAY 3:  BHUTAN(THIMPU)- BHUTAN(PUNAKHA)

  • Have a nutritious breakfast checkout from hotel and Proceed to PUNAKHA .When the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. After a photo break, we will continue our drive to warm valley of Punakha. On arrival, check into the hotel.
  •  Afternoon, we will visit the most beautiful Punakha Dzong(known as the  “the palace of great happiness”), which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. The Dzong, showcase the finest example of the arts and crafts of Bhutan. The dzong is joined to the mainland by an arched wooden bridge, and contains many precious relics from the days when successive kings reined the kingdom from this valley.
  • Later in the day excursion to Chimi Lhakhang,which is situated on a hillock in the centre of the valley, also known as the temple of fertility.
  • A walk through the village near the temple will give you rare glimpses into the daily life and lifestyle of the villagers.
  • Rest of the evening can be spent around in the city, shopping and exploring the surroundings.
  • overnight stay at  Deluxe Hotel.

DAY 4: BHUTAN(PUNAKHA)

  • After breakfast walk along the banks of the Mo Chhu to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten (2 hours round trip walk), a stunning monument recently built by the Queens.
  • Afternoon visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang nunnery- Perched on a ridge amid pine trees and overlooking valleys of Punakha and Wangduephodrang, gleams the magnificent structures of Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang(Temple).
  • The temple houses a 14-foot main bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara-one of the biggest in the country, was the handiwork of entirely local Bhutanese artisans. Other statues include those of Guru Padmasambawa, Gautama Buddha, Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, Tsela Namsum, the 21 Taras and Tsepamay (Buddha of longevity).
  • After a lovely day, return to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

DAY 5: BHUTAN(PUNAKHA) - BHUTAN(PARO)

  • After breakfast Check out from Punakha and proceed to Paro.
  • upon arrival excursion to Taktshang Monastery. It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called "Tiger’s Nest".
  •  Afternoon drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. The snowy dome of sacred Chomolhari, "mountain of goddess'' can be seen in all her glory from the approach road to the Dzong.
  • On the way, visit  Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. 
  • Rest of the evening can be spent around in the market area, shopping and exploring the surroundings.
  • Overnight stay at  Deluxe Hotel in Paro.

DAY 6:  BHUTAN (PARO)

  • As per the BHUTAN Package, your final day will begin with a breakfast. Post breakfast you will be transited to the airport for return journey. 
  • It’s time to say goodbye to all new friends you have made. We hope you take back many happy memories of your holiday.
